Surge Protective Device: SPD
Transient overvoltage is caused by many phenomena, the main ones being direct lightning strikes and indirect lightning strikes, or even transient overvoltages caused by switching devices with inductive or capacitive components. These phenomena can damage electrical equipment, and we can prevent this by installing a Transient Overvoltage Protection Device (SPD) in the electrical cabinet.
